SEXUAL REPRODUCTION (PART-1)
SEXUAL REPRODUCTION - development of new individual throughout the formation and fusion of gametes.
SEXUALITY IN PLANT
Sexually reproductive organ is flower
One flower has both male and female reproductive parts this plant known as Bisexual flower eg- Hibiscus and China rose
If one flower has only male reproductive part (staminate flower) or only female reproductive (Pistillate flowers) its know as unisexual flower
One plant having both sex organs this plant known as monoecious eg- Maize,Coconut
One plant having only male and female sex oragan such plant known as Dioecious eg- Palm, Papaya.

1) MONOCARPIC PLANTS -
These plants flowers only once in their life after flowering they produce fruits and die all annual (e.g wheat ,rice)
Bamboo species ( Bambusa tulda) flower only ones their life time, usually after 50-100 years. They produce large number of fruits and they die.
Strobilanthus Kunthiana ( Neelakuranhi) flowers one's in 12 years
Its found in Kerala, Karnataka and Tamil Nadu

2) POLYCARPIC PLANT
These plants are perennial and flowers repeatedly at interval every year e.g- apple ,mango, Orange
very few perennial plants have a flowers throughout the year e.g China rose
SEXUALITY IN ANIMALS
Some lower animals both male and female sex organs are present in the same individual such animals are called as a hermaphrodite monoecious or bisexual e.g- Tapeworm, Fasciola, Earthworm,Leech.
Most of animals are unisexual or Dioecious with the distinct male and female individual, e.g Ascaris, Cockroach, Frog, Lizard ,Birds, Mammals.
