ASEXUAL REPRODUCTION

APOMIXIS 

APOMIXIS- It is one type of Asexual reproduction in plants apomixis is commonly mimics sexual reproduction but produces seeds without fertilization. eg . some species of Astteraceae and Grasses.


FOUR WAY OF APOMIXIS 

1) ADVENTIVE EMBRYONY 

2) GENERATIVE APOSPORY

3) HAPLOID PARTHENOGENESIS 

4) HAPLOID APOGAMY


1) ADVENTIVE EMBRYONY 

An embryo develops directly from the diploid cell other than egg like that of nucellus and integument e.g  Cytrus, Opuntia.

2) GENERATIVE APOSPORY

In some species diploid embryo can arise from diploid cells of the archesporium. 

3) HAPLOID   PARTHENOGENESIS 

In this process development of embryo from unfertilized egg

4) HAPLOID APOGAMY

In this process development of embryo from any cell of the embryo sac apart from the egg
